Our Minister

Reverend Barbara McKusick-Liscord graduated from Bates College with a BA in psychology and after a 20 year corporate career with UNUM Corporation entered the ministry. She was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist Minister in 2001 at her Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Portland, Maine, where she had been a lifelong member. Her ordination followed completion of her two-year internship at the UU church in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and many years of lay leadership in her church. In May 2001, she graduated with high honors from the Andover Newton Theological School earning a Master of Divinity Degree.

Barbara and her husband, Paul, live in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire.  They have two adult children.

Our Music Director

The one and only, Laura Kennedy.

Our Ministers Emeritus
The congregation had been served from 1976 to 2000 by co-ministers Revs. Jeanne and Olav Nieuwejaar. At the end of February, 2000, Olav and Jeanne ended their long and successful ministry with us, but their long devotion built the foundation of a devoted community that continues to minister and be present with us.

While at UUCM they helped to grow the congregation, to make it more inclusive, and created extraordinary programs to foster religious growth in a nurturing environment for children and adults. We will miss them a great deal.
