A high flying musical comedy »
The best program we've ever had! --- and we've had some good ones! --- Chicagoland Assistant Principal
“I have never seen our students so enthralled!”
"Endless opportunities for curriculum integration."
"My son saw your musical THE WRIGHT BROTHERS this past November and now he wants to be a pilot."
A musical comedy with audience participation integrating:
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
• PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)
• Common Core Standards for Language Arts
• 'Character Counts!'
Having lost their way on a cross country flight Wilbur and Orville Wright make an emergency landing at your school. As a matter of introducing themselves to the audience, the brothers decide to reenact the story of their great accomplishment. They demonstrate their childhood experiments making improvements on a sled, their bicycle and a kite. The story then turns to their fascination with manned flight. The play comes to a climax as the brothers construct the first airplane onstage and recreate their historic twelve second flight.
THE WRIGHT BROTHERS is by Face to Face Productions which produces participatory in-school musicals addressing the Common CoreStandards, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Character Counts Values and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports). For 28 years Face to Face Productions has produced original musicals which engage, enlighten and entertain school audiences with the artistic quality equal to "field trip" productions in large venues (at a fraction of the cost). To paraphrase Ben Franklin "A video is worth a thousand words." Check out clips from all of our shows on You Tube (Search under "Face to Face Productions" and the title of each show). You will see why over 100 schools in the Chicagoland area alone have invited us back for at least 18 of the last 28 years.
