"Earth Remembers When" presentation
Join us for a fun, informative look at our Earth and discover the practical changes we all can do to make a difference. Students will learn how the Earth is rapidly changing from global warming and human influence.  Together we explore how to do our part to slow down these changes.  Students will collaborate with some hands on activities to learn about
biodegradable materials and how food is processed. 

 

"I Remember When..." presentation

Journey back in time when music was played on record players, telephones dialed, and cameras used film. Dawn’s fun and engaging presentation allows children to experience life before the digital era. Children will see first hand a real rotary phone, record player, wash board, film camera, and typewriter.  

 

Writer's Workshop presentation

Learn what it takes to get a book published from start to finish. Dawn takes students through the process of creating an idea to revision to publishing.  Students see the various stages with actual examples and participate in their own mini writing activity.

Dawn Wynne is a best-selling author. She is also award-winning teacher with more than 15 years experience teaching students from kindergarten through high school, including special needs students, English Language Learners, and at-risk youths. She was recognized and honored with the Teacher of the Year award and the Superintendent's Award for her teaching excellence. Wynne earned a Bachelor of Arts in theater at UCLA and holds a Master s degree in Education. She has appeared in many television shows including General Hospital, Renegade, and Nightman. Wynne's short film, Stalkers , won numerous awards, including the Audience Choice selection at the Palm Springs and Sarasota Film Festivals. Her first book, I Remember When... was an Indie Finalist. Her latest book, Earth Remembers When is the recipient of two children's book awards. In addition, Dawn is a certified Health Coach and embarking on educating children and families about healthy lifestyles.
