Caroline and Danny's opening performance was not only a lively audience participation event, but also a very effective way of demonstrating the power we have to teach children. --- Jim Bergin/Georgia School Counselor Association president
The Kids Value Pack Concert (National Character Education AND National Music Curriculum preschool-5th) is an interactive, imaginative performance of stories and songs that emphasize character topics such as: respect, teasing, bullying, peer pressure, and helpfulness. With the incorporation of humor, sign language, movement, props and audience participation into the concert, children learn while having fun. The catchy songs and entertaining stories connect age-old character words to students’ real life experiences.
Old Stories-New Twist (a workshop for 4th grade students through high school) In this highly interactive and entertaining workshop, students become peer leaders by learning multiple storytelling techniques and attention grabbing strategies that allow them to present character building stories that teach. Storytelling and writing elements are discussed that coincide with language arts programs.
Walking in Their Shoes (a workshop for middle school and high school students) Oftentimes we look at people with special needs and see what they CAN’T do instead of what they CAN do. This very fun and interactive session teaches tweens and teens to look at their peers with special needs in a new light with a new understanding.
Writing Stories To Tell (a workshop for middle school and high school students) Using their storytelling and song writing experience, Caroline and Danny inspire students to write and tell stories based on personal experiences, memories and family history. Basic elements of story writing will be included. A perfect way to let students find an individual connection to history, family and traditional stories…
At an early age Danny knew he loved music and dreamed of being the drummer for “The Tonight Show Band” starring Johnny Carson. After majoring in music education, he went on to work with musicians such as The Tams, Atlanta Rhythm Section, America, and 38 Special. His projects range from co-creating the original songs on The Waffle House Jukebox to co-writing music for The National Democratic Presidential Convention.
Caroline was born with Broadway in her blood. She has choreographed and performed in numerous theatrical presentations throughout the Southeast. Caroline has also shared the stage with national storytellers. With a MED in education, she has taught children and adults, and also has extensive experience teaching those with special needs.
Together, Caroline and Danny have found success by combining their experience as educators, writers and entertainers to form an “edu-tainment” company. They have performed their interactive, high energy concerts and presented keynotes throughout the country in areas such as early childhood and elementary education, storytelling, music, bully prevention, disability awareness, nutrition and wellness. Caroline and Danny have written and designed projects and music for such clients as Ripley’s (Believe it or Not) Aquariums, The Ga. Aquarium, The Edgar Allan Poe Museum, and Zoo Atlanta. They have produced music and storytelling CDs and curriculum books that are nationally distributed.
