I learned so much. I had no idea that the Cherokees were like that. I didn't know the details of the Trail of Tears. --- Students and other audience members.
My presentations are PowerPoint and video presentations. Cherokee Indians Yesterday and Today explores the Cherokees in their homeland in the southern United States, through the Trail of Tears, and ends with the Cherokee Nation today. The Trail of Tears covers America's darkest period: President Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act of 1830 and the forced removal of the Cherokee Nation to Oklahoma in 1838. The Cherokee Mounted Rifles is about Brigadier General Stand Watie's Cherokee Mounted Rifles in the Civil War, I is Not for Indian covers the stereotyping of Indians.
