UNTANGLING THE TALE OF THE BIG BAD WOLF, A Fully staged Court Room Comedy

The Three Little Pigs are suing the Big Bad Wolf and Judge Mr. Meaner needs some help!

Children will howl with delight as they learn that 'you can't always judge a book by its cover.' Starting with the notion that 'everyone is innocent until proven guilty,' the students, as the jury, are given two sides to the popular story, THE THREE LITTLE PIGS. With evidence and testimonies presented by the Pigs, the Wolf, and other fairy-tale personalities, children are encouraged to ask questions and analyze what they've seen in a mid performance discussion. After the discussion comes the amazing part: THE STUDENTS DECIDE THE ENDING!!! That's right. Whether they believe the Wolf is guilty or they think he is innocent, the actor's end the play by how the students vote.

This process helps illustrate to children the importance of listening, distinguishing between facts and rumors, that individual perceptions aren't always truth, and that their voice really can and does count. This production is truly a celebration and recognition of the differences in people (and fairy-tale characters!). Audience participation is not only acceptable, but highly encouraged!!! This production includes a full set with amazing costumes and props!

FUN WITH IMPROV.

With the help of suggestions by the students, five professional actors perform skits and comedy pieces just like the ones seen on Saturdaynight Live and Whose Line is it Anyway. The goal is to teach children that their voice really does count and how it can affect the world they live in. The show is never the same!!! This production can be modified for special events.
