Funding: The cost of the show is $500.00 with no extra or hidden costs. To help schools afford this cost Quincy Mack donates a signed basketball, T-shirt, and audio CD along with all the materials to run a raffle. Most schools have raised in excess of 400 hundred dollars while many even pay for their show in its entirety. The workshop focuses on three topics:
  • Bullying (new topic this year)
  • Goal Setting
  • Confidence Building.

To convey his message, Quincy Mack uses basketball tricks, a unique urban look, and language that the students can relate to throughout his entire performance. Quincy then couples this with his life stories that convey the essence of his three topics. Included in the cost of the show is the Q- Mack follow through package. This package consists of grade specific,cross-curriculum classroom activities. Quincy Mack, a 26 year old basketball trickster began playing the sport in 1987. After completing high school, Quincy pursued his interest in effective communication by graduating from the Radio Broadcasting program at Humber College, in Toronto. It was at this time that Mack began dreaming in a different direction. While working with Nike Canada and the National NBA Hoop It Up Tour in 1998, he started to create his dream job. Possessing over 100 basketball tricks, Mack knew he could blend his athletic talents and his powerful communication techniques to both educate and entertain people of all walks of life. Q-Mack has written a book published by ECW Press in Toronto entitled DARE TO BE DIFFERENT that is scheduled for nation wide release on January of 2003. He also became the first Canadian in history to be signed to an endorsement as a basketball freestyler and personality when he was inked by the world's leader in sports marketing, NIKE.
