The King of Kids' Cowboy Music »

Cowboy crooner Buck Howdy, a combination of Roy Rogers, Will Rogers and Mr. Rogers, has me tapping my feet and humming along!
--- Philadelphia Enquirer

Cowboys and cowboy music are part of the fabric of American history. Buck Howdy brings the cowboy lifestyle and heritage to life. But this is no dull history lesson - Buck's award winning music, down home style and easy going sense of humor have won him acclaim from coast to coast.

That's why PARENT MAGAZINE said, Buck Howdy came riding over the hill just in time to remind us how timeless and fun cowboy music can be.

And NPR said, Every few decades we find a juncture in musical Americana that defines our own heritage. In our present age, thats spelled B-U-C-K H-O-W-D-Y !

Buck Howdy is available either as a solo artist or with his full band The Prairie Dogs

Buck Howdy is the first ever kids' artist to be signed to famed label MCA Records - home of George Strait, Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack and others.

Buck also hosts the nationally syndicated kids' radio program COW PIE RADIO, heard three times per week on XM Satellite Radio and on over two dozen other radio stations from coast-to-coast. The Buck Howdy television program will begin to air nationally in 2005.

Buck Howdy was born wearing a cowboy hat and boots longer ago than he likes to admit. He was raised on his family's ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Between going to school and doing chores, like feeding 100 head of black Angus cattle, Buck taught himself to play guitar. And though the ranch was sold long ago, Buck has never stopped playing.

Matter of fact, he's never stopped doing chores either. Only now he does them on his own farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

If ever there was a true singing cowboy Buck Howdy is it. That fact comes through loud and clear on his debut CD Skidaddle! That's because Buck Howdy is no Johnny-come-lately to children's music. In fact, he's been singing his special brand of western music for kids for nearly twenty years in concerts and classrooms.

Buck has won many awards, including Emmys for his work on television, and his music has appeared on numerous popular network television shows.

Buck Howdy's debut CD Skidaddle! (MCA, Nashville - 2003) is currently one of the top selling kids music CDs.
