Live TV Assembly Program »

"Lights, Camera, Action" is one of the newest programs developed by Mobile Ed to meet the ever increasing needs of students to explore the latest elements of the technological revolution.

"Lights, Camera, Action" is presented in an all day format consisting of four (4) grade level appropriate assemblies 40 minutes in length. Each session includes using a few students to act as "on screen talent". There is also one (1) final editing assembly 50 minutes in length with a small group of 10-20 pre-selected students. Specific details for each session are provided prior to the program.

All groups are exposed to a demonstration as to how a television station works showing the different pieces of equipment and how simple special effects can be used to create a completely different atmosphere. Students will learn about "chroma key", character generators, video and audio "dubbing", and assorted other "tricks of the trade." For the upper elementary and middle - junior high levels there is also time for Questions and Answers.

In an elementary school setting younger students will be given the opportunity to either dance with a "Barney"type character, or to run a race, or jog down the street. Some students will be shown "flying like Superman" or "swimming underwater."Students and staff alike will enjoy watching this fun activity and seeing their fellow students "float" and "fly" over buildings. In upper elementary and middle - junior high settings students will become technical assistants. Some students will be presenting commercials, weather reports, public service announcements, doing a "lip sync" to music, and even doing a rock video segment. All sessions during the day are designed to be age appropriate.

After all students have been involved in the four regular sessions the final session of the day, for the oldest students, will find this small pre-selected group preparing for a newscast of the days events. Students will be acting as anchor persons, using cue cards, reading daily news of the school, microphone operators, and floor managers as well as learning some editing techniques.

"Lights, Camera, Action"is designed to introduce your students to this fascinating profession, give them some hands on experience and also to keep them entertained by using student involvement. The final goal is to provide the school with a "newscast" video tape of daily sessions which can be saved at the school and shown at a later date.

Since our start in 1979, we have become the largest company to present workshops and assemblies at school and community groups. We do approximately 6000 educational programs each year! And we love it!

Our programs are written by elementary and secondary school teachers and school administrators. We have influenced many science teachers by the way we demonstrate science concepts in terms of everyday life. Support for many of our programs is provided by major companies such as Union Carbide, Matheson Gas Products and Dow Chemical Company.

We bring the field trip to you, by eliminating the need for chaperones, transportation, and travel time. Our engaging presentations make learning fun -- whether it's about science, the environment, history, literature, theater and music or promoting self esteem. We present complex information in a compelling manner so students enjoy learning.

Most of our presentations are truck-size professional displays, not suitcase-size disappointments! We expand the world of science beyond the traditional classroom, using high tech tools not readily accessible to schools.

We are far beyond that of a school assembly company. We furnish hands-on workshops for most of our programs. retention level is at an all-time high with Mobile Ed presentations. Our presenters will make a lasting impression. They're the best trained, most informative and humorous educators and performers in the industry. We hire the best.
