Author, Illustrator, Cartoonist »

Not only are you a great children's book author and illustrator, but you can tell you enjoy children and work well with them. I appreciate someone who walks his talk.
--- Elementary School Principal, Indiana

When Mike visits yor school, the first thing he will do is read from some of his books and explain how he got the ideas for the books. Sometimes, Mike is able to bring some of the original art from one or more of his books to show the kids.

Next, Mike will show your students (and teachers!) how to draw great cartoons. That right! Even the artistically challenged people in your school will learn to draw great cartoons using Mike's step-by-step techniques.

With older children, Mike shows how to use humor to improve writing skills. Mike will show the kids how to write their own jokes, riddles and tongue twisters and how to use their new skills across the curriculum.

Mike has also personally helped more than 4,000 students write and illustrate their own picture books.
