African Trickster Tales: This 45-minute performance features two Anansi stories from West Africa. Children and their families will delight in the antics of Anansi, the world-famous trickster, and his supporting cast of African animals.

Dreamtime stars Billy, a young, duck-billed platypus who is listening to stories from the Aboriginal Dreamtime as he goes to sleep. The three stories come to life on a beautiful tabletop stage in this show with lots of audience participation.

Galapagos George is based on the true story of Lonesome George, the last surviving tortoise from Pinta Island in the Galapagos. You'll hear his tale and meet many other animals from this amazing archipelago off the coast of Ecuador. This show was funded in part by a grant from the Puppeteers of America Endowment Fund.

Little by Little: transports the audience to the world of the oak tree as we share a story of new growth in a forest following a devastating fire. Shadow puppets, rod puppets, and hand puppets come together in this family show as narrated by a "nutty" little acorn. We explore the themes of inspirational acts and the potential for greatness that is deep within even the smallest of creatures. A "homegrown" tale featuring animals of the mid-Atlantic region, Appalachian-style music by a Virginia musician, and puppets by our very own Heidi Rugg and Melanie Johnson.

The Little "Bread" Hen: Inspired by the classic tale of The Little Red Hen, this version reveals the truth about what really happened that fateful day when a chicken decided to bake a loaf of bread. Were the other farm animals just lazy or was there something else stewing in the barnyard? Journey to a small European bakery as we cook up the answers to these questions and more in this hilariously tasty retelling!

Little Red & the Gingerbread Man rolls two familiar stories into one fun-filled romp through fairy tales! Children delight in this 30-minute performance with snowy scenery, lively music and everyone's favorite BIG BAD WOLF! Available November-January

Ooey Gooey Poetry: New for Summer 2013! Sometimes characters end up in sticky situations! Children's literature is a true treasure trove. This lively puppet show for young audiences features timeless classics including The Three Little Kittens and Little Miss Muffet. Audiences also meet an entertaining circus worm (who meets an unfortunate fate!) and a young man named Jonathan who ate way too much cake. Shadow puppets, hand puppets, rod puppets, and even a humanette will delight families and children ages 3 & up.

We love great stories, and -- even more than that -- we love to share great stories with young audiences and families. Our award-winning puppet shows tour all over the East Coast (and beyond!) to theatres, schools, libraries, children's museums and more. Our performances bring to life world folktales, classic tales with a twist and original works with imaginative scripts that are well researched and fun! Educators, students, librarians, and theatre directors give enthusiastic reviews of our touring programs each year and invite us back again and again.

We are based in Richmond, Virginia, where we build all of our puppets and staging. We tour extensively and have performed all over the US and into Canada. We love performing for new audiences and are doubly pleased to be invited back again and again for return engagements. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact us. We are always thrilled to hear from you!
