David Alexander was selected this year as one of America's Top 56 Artists-in-Residence by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. He tours the United States as well as overseas telling his magical tales of adventure in faraway places. In the last two years he conducted storyteller/author-in-residence programs in Bolivia, Peru, Borneo, Kalimantan, Java, Beijing, and Seoul as well as places like Wallace & Downs Kansas!
An author as well as a publisher, Dave can offer a diverse program focusing on students as storytellers, students as aspiring writers, or students as listeners to over 15 hours worth of entertaining stories for all age ranges.
Dave is in his fourth year as an artist-in-residence under the Kansas Touring Roster and was picked up by Misssouri Young Audiences and the Nebraska Touring Program for the year '99-'00. He has appeared in several storytelling festivals in the United States and overseas.
He has completed teaching and counseling assignments in Ethiopia, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Many of his travel and multi-cultural tales come from these experiences.
