Award-winning singer-songwriter Patricia Shih wrote her first song at age 12 and hasn't stopped since. She performs for all ages internationally. She has 18 different shows for elementary schools, based on themes such as literacy, non-violence (bullies), character education, and much more, along with multicultural family shows. She also offers workshops.
Ms. Shih has recorded four albums for children and families, and two for adults. Along with her husband/accompanist Stephen Fricker, Ms. Shih starred for a year on the daily Cablevision show Tell Me A Story and also wrote and performed its theme song. Awards include 2 Parents Choice Awards, NAPPA Gold award, American Songwriting Award and Parents Prize, among others.
Credits include: Winnipeg, Kerrville, Clearwater Folk Festivals, Lincoln Center, The Children's Museum of Manhattan, and much more. Articles and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, Newsday, The Big Apple Parents Paper, and The World Journal. Patricia hosted a daily TV show for a year in the NY metro area.
Ms. Shih has appeared in concert with Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Peter Yarrow, Richie Havens, Tom Chapin and more. Numerous artists around the country have recorded and performed her songs.
