Lester Hirsh has been a poet, editor, singer-songwriter on the New England music circuit since 1985. With guitars, harmonica, original compositions, music that ranges from folk to Latin and classical influence, his music continues to evolve. With the 1994 CD release Tales of a Troubadour, and the 1995 poetry book Mosaic, he has added a new dimension to his residencies. Poet Ellen Hersh calls his poetry "universal, with the voice of the ancient troubadour and the language of our times." Of his live performances Jane Fallon, Director of the Wilton Arts Festival calls Lester "the consummate performer with the polish of a professional and the enthusiasm of a rookie."
