School Residency Activities: Residency activities involve a variety of subjects including: design analysis, design within limitations, light and color and its effect on and off stage, make-up design creation, and re-creation, connecting with inner self in make-up design, the creation of environment with light, the problem solving analysis of the production team, creating character with make-up, culminating residency performances or tableaus.
For grades: All.
Teacher and Adult/Child Workshops: Workshop would include: safety in the production workplace, creation of performance space, taking care of performance space and equipment, incorporating the production arts into a performing arts program and performance event.
Elizabeth Grace received her BA in Technical Theatre from Michigan State University with honors in 1983. She has designed lighting and makeup throughout New England including the Palace Theatre in Manchester, the Portsmouth Music Hall, the Seacoast Repertory Theatre and the Harbour Theatre Festival in Newburyport, MA. She was an integral part of Kitchensink Theatre and New Hampshire Theatre Project, as well as a partner in McLaughlin & Iserman Associates, a theatrical production service and consulting firm. With many school residencies to her credit working with students of all age levels, she currently performs and designs with Dover Repertory Theatre, Kearsarge Arts Theatre for Children, Delvena Theatre Company (Arlington, MA) and Granite State Ballet.
