Think it, Write it Making stories come to life Using audience participation, improvisational storytelling, and selected multicultural folktales, Gerald Fierst demonstrates the elements of writing with examples of character, conflict, and sequencing. An extraordinary lesson into the writing process, sweetened with all the laughter and adventure of a master storyteller's performance skills. Gerald Fierst is a storyteller, writer, and teacher, with a BA from Yale University and a certification as a Performing Artist in the Schools from Teachers College, Columbia University. Among his appearances are the National Storytelling Festival's Exchange Place, the 92nd Street Y's Oral Traditions Series of Master Jewish Storytellers, WNET/13's Student Arts Festival, the International Children's Art Festival, the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, the South Street Seaport Museum, the Museum of American Folk Art, the New York State Museum, the Hudson River Museum, the Montclair Art Museum, and countless schools, synagogues, and institutions across the United States. He is a recipient of the NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowship in Playwriting. His work has been documented for Public Television on WNET/13's ArtEffects.
