Putting all the ocarinas, recorders, whistles, bells and thing-a-ma-jigs aside, Dale's exceptional cornet playing is a definite high-point in the presentation. He is a skilled and commanding player, whose love and allegiance is to early, Traditional Jazz and all of the turn-of-the-century, solo cornet classics. He also loves to play the 'EWI', (Electronic Wind Instrument, Akai Corporation), and the 'Yamaha WX5', (Wind MIDI Controller)...both, simply dazzling examples of modern, technological applications in instrumental music.

Dale is continuously sensitive to the needs of the specific social/cultural/age group he is addressing, and he naturally sustains the audience's attention and receives their frequent applause as he plays. Participation is a must in this fun and very informative, 45 minute presentation.

Activities include spontaneous singing, singalongs, call and response, rhythm clapping and student showcases...even the making and playing of simple instruments derived from common household items.
